Abbey Road - Album Cover

Abbey Road, one of the most successful Beatles' albums ever, debuted straight at Number 1 in the UK charts upon its release in September 1969. It was the biggest selling album of '69 and had been named by Rolling Stone magazine as the 14th Greatest Album of all time. It it the last album the Beatles recorded together, at a time when their proffessional differences were becoming irreconcilable. The album cover photo, taken outside the studio by photographer Iain MacMillan, has gone on to become one of the most widely recognised and imitated album covers of all time.
