A door mural depicting a photograph of the classic British telephone box. The red telephone box, along dwindling in numbers now, can still be found throughout much of Britain and British or Ex-British Colonies. Designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott it has become an iconic symbol of British culture. With its striking red colour chosen for its high visibility and made from cast-iron for durability it was deployed around the country by the Post Office, who at the time where to controlling faction of the telecommunications industry in Britain. Since replaced by a more utilitarian design, the original red boxes have become a nostalgic image for many Britons.
